NGC 2770, SN 2007uy & SN 2008D

Last two nights were quite good to get some magnitudes of two new supernovae. Since the Moon was close to max. phase and flats are not so good, resulting combined images are not as good as I hoped. Here are combined V and R band results with adjustment of background and range to spy for background inhomogeneities:

23.01.2008 at approx 2:03 UT (mid. expo)
R band, 53 minutes total exposure

23.01.2008 at approx 2:04 UT (mid. expo)
V band, 53 minutes total exposure

23.01.2008 at approx 19:20 UT (mid. expo)
V band, 130 minutes total exposure

23.01.2008 at approx 19:21 UT (mid. expo)
V band, 131 minutes total exposure

Magnitude estimates will follow. Some exposures added to the combined frames were affected by high clouds. Both current runs were ruined by frontal system at the end.
